“ Robertitos Cuisine Merchantville circle First time going today. Very clean interior with pleasant Puerto Rican decor. Limited table seating. Employees very welcoming I went extremely basic with the grilled chicken mofongo special and a beef pastelillos. The grilled chicken was seasoned and grilled nicely. The mofongo was the star for me. Slightly sweet from the fried plantains and a good shot of garlic aftertones. I like mashed potatoes but Ill take mofongo over mashed potatoes anyday!! Beef pastelillo was tasty. Flaky crust and good flavored beef on the inside. Next time I go, I wont be so basic. The tripleta de mofongo sandwich sounds amazing. They have a basic menu, but the chef likes to have daily specials which you can only find on their instagram page. I got take out but the dishes being served to the eat in crowd were large and very nicely plated. The cold weather may entice you to hop on a aveloair direct flight to puertorico but you can visit Roberto and his staff at Robertitos instead! The small yet intimate dining room will give you a feel of Puerto Rico as its elegantly decorated. Are you used to mofongo being somewhat dry? Roberto probably has the best Ive tried. Its moist, firm, and has a nice touch of garlic to it. It reminds you more of mashed potatoes. Its hearty and delicious! I recommend giving bifongo a try as it is different than regular mofongo. That pernil sandwich between mashed plaintains is a sight to see in person! The roast pork was perfectly juicy, flavorful, and tender to the touch. To my surprise, the mashed plaintains held up and didnt lose the integrity of the sandwich when eating it. Ive had a few different dishes from Robertitos over the years, and I can also highly recommend getting the fried pork chop platter! You cant go wrong with anything you get here, and everything is priced extremely affordable. If you have room leftovers, try the tres leches cake! Especially if you ate savory, the sweetness will compliment well! You can find their menu online, but keep an eye on their Instagram as they post off menu specials almost daily! ”
“ Found this little gem by searching maps while nearby and glad we stopped in. Service Paula was excellent and made the experience even better! Atmosphere Quaint, about 4 to 5 tables to sit and very wholesome and family style. Food Very good overall. The plantain boat basically with chicken and an amazing cheese sauce was by far my favorite! Pernil was very good but just needed a little Adobe and garlic while cooking to make it perfect. Skin was served but needed to be seared to be crispy to make it worth fighting at the table for . But its very worth going and enjoying a nice cup of Puerto Rican coffee while you wait. Enjoy! ”

This place is a phenomenal find after eating Mofongo at dozens of places in New York, Philadelphia and ALL over Puerto Rico I can honestly say that Robertitos is right up there with the best!!! The shrimp is only fresh but very flavorful cooked to perfection with garlic blush sauce, it is truly unparalleled the mofongo cake base was tasty and was crisp to perfection the home made strawberry lemonade is a must to compliment the meal for dessert I had the flan, which may be the best flan anywhere Robertito himself is an artist and everyone working here is divine this place is exceptional in every way and very differentiated for south jersey i feel lucky to be able to add this to my weekly rotation thank you Robertito!!!! ”
